Altun Ha and Cave Tubing is designed to last approximately 5.5 hours. It includes a 50 minutes drive to the cave park. As we drive to the park we will be narrating the history of Belize. Upon our arrival at the cave we will have a short restroom break. After the break you will be issued with an inner tube, headlamp, and life vests. We will then start a 20 minutes hike through the rain forest to the entrance of the cave. As we hike we will be doing presentations on Medicinal Plants and Belize Cave Systems.

The cave tubing part of the tour last an hour and a half. After the tubing we will drive an hour to the ruins of altun ha. Upon our arrival at the ruins of altun ha we will have a short restroom break. After the break we will start the tour of the site. The tour of the site last an hour to an hour and a half. As you head to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, the history of Belize and its people are being narrated to you by your private tour guide. You will be driving through the twin Towns of Santa Elena and San Ignacio.About 20 minutes leaving San Ignacio Town, you will arrive at a hand cranked ferry that connects the Western Highway to Xunantunich Archaeological Reserve. After crossing the ferry, we drive 3 minutes to the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich. Upon your arrival, you will have a short restroom break. After the break you will begin the tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich. This where the History of Xunantunich is presented to you. Your private tour guide will also explain the significance of each building. The tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich Mayan Ruins last approximately an hour.

After the tour of the Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich, you will drive 20 minutes to a local restaurant where you will be served a local dish of rice and beans with chicken. After lunch you will drive approximately 40 minutes to where the cave tubing is done. Upon your arrival you will be issued with a life vest, headlamps, and inner tubes. You will then start a hike on a jungle trek to the entrance of the caves. As you hike to the caves, your private tour guide will be doing presentation on Medicinal Plants and Belize Cave Systems. Before entering the caves, you will be instructed on what you can and cannot do by your tour guide.

Just kick back, relax, and refresh in the caves as you're being towed by your private tour guides, Your tour guide will be pointing out formations in the caves as you tube through. The cave tubing last approximately 1.5 hours. When you exit the caves, you will be doing 10 minutes of open river tubing to your starting point. After cave tubing you are to change into dry clothes and head back to Belize City.

Belize cave tubing and zipline xunantunich Mayan ruins is designed to be a full day package. It includes a 2 hours drive from Belize City. As we drive we will be narrating the history of Belize. You will be zipping approximately 40 mph through the canopy of Belize’s rain forest. You will be zipping over the same river on which the cave tubing is done. The zipline part of this package last approximately an hour. After the zipline tour, you will be served with a local of rice and beans with chicken with a soda.

After lunch you will be issued with a life vest, a headlamp, helmet, and an inner tube. We will then start a 15 minute hike to the caves. When we arrive at the entrance of the caves, you will be instructed on what to do and not to do.

Now it’s time to relax and be refreshed by fresh spring water from the mountains by which the river is fed. You will now relax on your inner tubes as you are being towed ( you don’t need to paddle, we do that for you ). As you are being towed we will be pointing out formations in the caves. When we exit the caves we will be doing 10 minutes of open river tubing back to our starting point. The entire cave tubing tour last 1.5 hours. After the tubing tour you will be driven back to where you were picked up.

Belize Zipline and Belize Zoo - This tour is designed to last approximately 5 hours. It includes a 50 minute drive from Belize City to the zip line site. As we drive to the zip line site we will be narrating the History of Belize to you. When we arrive at the zip line site we will have a short restroom break. After the break we will gear you up and start the zip line through the canopy of the rain forest. The zip line part of the tour last between 40 to 50 minutes.

After the zip line tour we will drive approximately 20 minutes to the Belize Zoo. We will have a short restroom break upon request. We will then start the tour of the Belize Zoo where you get the chance to see some of Belize’s wildlife in their natural habitat. The tour of the Belize Zoo is a slow paste tour. Xunantunich Mayan Ruins and Belize Zoo - Your adventure begins as you drive from Belize City on the Western Highway heading for the wildlife habitat known as The Belize Zoo. The Zoo was created as a sanctuary for the country's indigenous species and is now home for an impressive array of large cats, primates, reptiles and birds. A visit to the zoo gives you the opportunity to see Belize's amazing wildlife in one location.

Xunantunich (Maya for "Maiden of the Rock") sits just inside the Western border of Belize to nearby Guatemala. Before reaching the entrance of this ancient city, your party will board a 19th century hand-cranked ferry which takes you across the Mopan River during which there is regular sighting of huge green iguanas. A short shuttle ride from the ferry brings you to the entrance of Xunantunich which is located on one of the highest plateaus in the area. 

After restroom break your group meets at the Visitor's Center for a historical presentation. During your archeological walk you will be looking out for birds and howler monkeys, and your guide will be pointing out interesting and important trees and plants (Copal, Ramon, Cotton, Allspice) which played a major role, both medicinally and as a food source, to the Maya in ancient times. 

Your walk back in time will include viewing of original carved monuments (stellae) which depict Maya rulers and warriors in their full regalia, as well as residential palaces for Maya elites. 

The highlight of your Maya exploration brings you to "El Castillo," the tallest of the temples at this site which is 130 feet from ground level. About half way up the temple you get to appreciate an astronomical carving unique to Xunantunich, depicting Maya gods that was discovered in the 1950s.

The Xunantunich Maya Ruins in Belize are the ruins with the most archaeological importance in Belize.

Situated in the tropical rainforest, the Temples of Xunantunich are West of Belize City, close to the Guatemalan border, in the beautiful Cayo District.

Xunantunich contains one of the tallest Mayan structures found in Belize. El Castillo was built on a grandiose hilltop overlooking the Mopan River. Additionally, the sculptures found at Xunantunich are the most detailed and intricate of those found elsewhere in Belize.

Your journey begins at the port of Belize City, where our guides will meet you before heading by air-conditioned vans to the beautiful Cayo District, a Belize District we like to refer to as “a Tropical Switzerland,” with rolling green lawns, palm trees, plantations, and mountains.

You will meet the Mopan River in Cayo, where your Xunantunich Mayan exploration begins. You will first cross the river in your van on a hand-cranked ferry.

Passengers have to exit the vans per regulations and stay on the ferry. Only the driver must remain in the van for the 2-minute crossing.

Undoubtedly, the guide will also exit the van to admire the 5-foot iguanas that inhibit the river banks, sun tanning next to the many horses frolicking on the green riverbank grass.
